Who we are
Wildlife Computers designs and manufactures tags incorporating state-of-the-art electronics and software. These tags are housed in a multitude of shapes designed to minimize the impact on the study animal. Our product lines include TDR (archival), SPOT (Argos location), SPLASH (Argos location with environmental or behavioral data), and PAT (pop-up) tags which are suitable for a wide variety of marine animals including penguins, turtles, cetaceans, and fish. We also offer Fastloc™ GPS technology in several of our product lines.
To maximize the amount of useful data returned, our tags optimize data-collection and data-encoding. The returned data is paired with purpose-built software to easily analyze and display this hard-won information. A primary goal of the company is to provide support for research that is grounded in sound scientific methodology, recognizing that good science benefits the marine biology community as a whole.
