The Penguiness Book [more info]

The Penguiness Book, compiled by Yan Ropert-Coudert, Akiko Kato, & Rory P. Wilson, is the first comprehensive database compiling detailed information about the diving depth and duration (average and maximum) of worldwide air-breathing animals (seabirds, marine mammals, reptiles and others).

Data are sorted by species, location and year. As much information as possible is provided, such as the methods used to collect the depth and dive duration, and only data from peer-reviewed, published articles are included to ensure that these are reliable estimates of the diving capacity of animals. Both the scientific and non-scientific community should find it useful. Contributions are actively sought to aid in its expansion.
